Kingsley Build

February 16th, 2012

Habitat GTR will be rehab or recycle (as we call it) a previous Habitat Homeowner home. The home is located 521 Ash Street, Kingsley Michigan. We will be holding a Demo Day Saturday, March 3rd, 2012.  We are planning on having the home completed in a little over a month. We will be working on the home most days of the week, to give all volunteers a chance to get out and see what Habitat is all about.

Volunteers must be over the age of 16, and minors must have their liability forms filled out by a parent and notarized. If you are interested in volunteering please sign up at www.habitatgtr.org/volunteer. We need all skill levels to complete the jobs to complete this home. If you have any questions, please contact Mandy at mmartin@habitatgtr.org, or 231-941-4663 Ext. 125.

The Traverse Area Association of REALTORS® (TAAR) in partnership with the Home Builders Association of the Grand Traverse Area (HBAGTA) and Habitat for Humanity once again hope to change such living conditions for a family from our area through another planned collaborative effort.

These three organizations whose main focus is the viable acquisition of affordable real property for a family on the edge are sponsoring another Habitat for Humanity home renovation project for the calendar year 2012.  The goal this year is to provide a safe, economically feasible and sustainable home for one family. To do this we need to raise $80,000.00 in a combination of cash, material and labor donations plus volunteers.
